Daily Chapel from Pastor Ricky Jacob - "Jesus, Name Above All Names"

Four times a year, Lutheran Indian Ministries’ associate staff, Pastor Ricky Jacob at Jesus Our Savior Lutheran Outreach in Winnebago, Nebraska, can be heard at 9:54 a.m. on “Daily Chapel,” a radio broadcast on AM 840 out of West Plains, Neb. The same program airs again at 11:40 a.m. on FM 98.3. “I record [chapel devotions] about every 13 weeks throughout the year,” says Pastor Ricky.

His most recent series aired in February and reflected on the hymn, "Jesus, Name Above All Names."

"On the Winnebago reservation, we often take time to remember the death of those who touched our lives in one way or another," shares Pastor Ricky. "Recently, we remembered the death of Regina Scott, one of the saints of Jesus Our Savior Lutheran Church. Regina's favorite hymn was 'Jesus, Name Above All Names.'"

Listen to the series here:

For the rest of 2015, he will share his devotions Sunday through Saturday on May 10-16, August 9-15 and again in November.

Pastor Ricky shares his Gospel-centered reflections with other West Point Circuit pastors, thanks to the LCMS Nebraska District. The broadcast may be heard every day throughout the year.

If you have ever had the opportunity to visit with Pastor Ricky, you’ll know he is passionate about sharing the Gospel with the children and families on the Winnebago Indian Reservation. Pastor Ricky and Sheryl Tietz, teacher and program director, provide Christ-centered education for the children through their ministry at Jesus Our Savior Lutheran Preschool and Kidz Bible Adventure Hour.

Archived recordings of Pastor Ricky’s chapel devotions may also be found in our Audio Gallery.
