The Power of a Story - Grieving in Lawrence
When we tell our story and hear the stories of others, we realize we aren’t alone in our struggles. Once we realize that others are living with the same brokenness, we begin to accept that we are a part of a team. A team that will cheer for us in our victory and support us in our failures.
Wonders That Cannot Be Fathomed
Times change, people retire, and God sets a new course and asks us to be steadfast and follow His lead. Sometimes it takes patience on our part as God prepares the way and prepares us for the next adventure.
The Next Step in Fairbanks
We are pleased to announce the newest members of the LIM team: Nathan and Sarah Milan, serving in Fairbanks, Alaska.
A Time for Healing
“It was very dark around the campus that day.”
The word spread across the Haskell Indian Nations University campus – a student had taken their own life. The story was heart-wrenching. Another young person lost to the despair, anger, and hopelessness that is always lurking in the shadows of Native lives.
They Need to Know - Jesus Died for All
“For God so loved the world that he gave His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him should have everlasting life.”
That’s a message Native people need to hear every day, and it’s the work to which you and I have been called, whether or the front lines or in our communities.
Your gift to Lutheran Indian Ministries provides a message of human love from our ministry staff and, more importantly, supernatural love from the Creator God who made them Native, whose endless and unfaltering love is salvation for people of all colors and cultures.
Fishers of Native Men
For more than 20 years, your gifts have provided the congregation of Makah Lutheran Church and the community of Neah Bay with Christian leadership. Your continued support today, with a gift to Lutheran Indian Ministries, helps to continue that legacy and provides Ben with the kind of encouragement he needs to keep going when his busy schedule seems overwhelming.

Big & Bold New Year
My resolution this year for Lutheran Indian Ministries is big and bold and a little scary because it forces us to rely on God to do what only He can do – open hearts to Jesus. I pray we reach more Native people with the Gospel message than ever before. And I pray you will walk with us on this journey because your support of our ministry is critical to achieving our vision. Together, we can be Jesus’ hands and feet to our Native brothers and sisters.
